Lead practice
I architect the complete solution, build it, and carry it through industrialisation to scale. Industrialisation is the part that usually gets handed to someone else.
Right now that means leading the charge on AI transformation for a £1bn-a-year global engineering and digital services company, alongside its Head of AI: platform and framework decisions, model selection, data security, and upskilling the engineers who will use it. Every facet, end to end.
The working example is the page you are on: concept, film, code and deployment in one weekend, in spare time. Automotive first; the same practice travels to motorsport, defence, and hard-tech.

Vehicles, systems and components fail in the seams: between domains, suppliers and programmes. Chassis to powertrain, body to electrical, software to ADAS: deep in each, fluent across the whole vehicle. Every one of those seams has bitten me at least once. That is why I know where to look.
-
I take the cross-domain problems nobody wants to own, from engineering to finance, legal, compliance and export control: the operating model and cadence that make complex programmes land on time. Teams of 30+ engineers, Tier-1 suppliers, board-level reporting.
The Marques
Selected Work
-
Four engagements across a decade: chassis hardware owned across five vehicle lines, an industry-first aluminium structure for the first electric Jaguar, motion control for halo products like the Range Rover Sport SV, and a year embedded inside JLR's Austrian production partner as its technical authority.
-
Trusted with the chassis structures of every car Aston Martin was making: DB11, DBS, Vantage, and the DBX, the marque's first SUV, from a blank sheet.
-
Production engineering at McLaren's Woking HQ, across every car they built at the time, from the MP4-12C to the P1: bare carbon tub to customer-ready, holding the marque's standards on the line.
-
Two years embedded in Shanghai as the single interface for everything chassis across two EV platforms: autonomy features delivered years ahead of the European market, and the technical foundation for what became NIO's SkyRide intelligent chassis.
-
Most recent programme. Led and delivered.
Full accountability for the UK's most exclusive and security-sensitive vehicle programme: a £15M+ armoured vehicle for heads-of-state use, taken from concept to implementation under military export controls.
Design confidence high enough to skip prototypes and cut straight to production tooling.
Twenty years of programmes like these: that is what your AI transformation inherits.

First Engagement
One Week. One Solution.
A fixed-scope engagement: one week inside your problem, one working solution shipped and proven. No decks, no roadmaps: results you keep either way.
Small first. The rest is earned.
Every frame and every line of code on this page: one engineer, frontier AI.
